Former ADVOCATE publisher Found Dead

Michael Phelps, the former Publisher of The Advocate, the nation's leading LGBT magazine, was found dead at his home on February 10th.
Phelps started at The Advocate in 1996, but recently was let-go when Here Media purchased it during their big gay media spending spree (their purchases to date include: GayWired.com, Planet Out, Gay.com, Out Traveller, Out Mag, etc...). The Advocate has since been reduced to an insert inside the more popular OUT Magazine by the new owners.
Cause of death is still under investigation.
Phelps was an avid supporter of nearly all LGBT organizations.
