This Wednesday

This Wednesday, come by and see what's left of me after 7 days on the Sweet Caribbean Cruise with 1200 lesbians and a hurricane.

Also, this time, the first 15 people through the door with a canned food good will receive a free cocktail!

We're mixing and mingling this month with the world famous Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles and the West Hollywood Visibility Committee, who will be there collecting canned goods for our friends over at the Gay and Lesbian Elder Housing, Los Angeles.

What I'm Watching on Youtube

Inspirational and Moving
Bishop Gene Robinson's speech at GLAAD Los Angeles two weeks ago. This will move you.

Sexy and funny:
Marines doing the cha cha in Iraq. This is mesmerizing.

Funny and geeky
Ira Glass from This American Life on Stephen Colbert
Colbert tells him he looks like Rachel Maddow, then he goes on to do a spot on Glass imitation. I agree with Colbert, I always listen to Ira Glass after coming home from the farmer's market!

Off the Hook

Hello kittens. Last night was TheSmokingCocktail.com's monthly mixer and it was off the hook. There were reps there from great organizations including Outfest, The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, The Gay & Lesbian Center, The Point Foundation, HRC, GLAAD, Out & Equal and the Jordan/Rustin Coalition to NAME A FEW.

In addition there were so many talented out authors, actors comics and directors there, as well as folks that work at gay businesses including here!, Platinum, AfterEllen.com, Shewired.com and Frontiers. Once again, only to name A FEW. There were also folks there from corporate diversity groups within companies such as Comerica, NBC/Universal and more.

I'm going to do another column later today that will be all GOSSIP about the event. There are so many fabulous things going on in the community, and I'm going to dish with y'all on all that later.

Meanwhile, here are the photos!
