Well I'm taking a break from doing my favorite thing - producing LGBT films - to do my second favorite thing which is going to see LGBT films. Followed by my third favorite thing which is dishing about said lgbt films.
For those of you beyond the borders of Los Angeles, Outfest is the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and - along with Frameline in San Fran in June - both glorious landmarks of homo festivities and screenings - mark the kick-off of the lgbt film festival circuit. No matter where you live in these semi-marginally great United States, these films will be coming to your local LGBT Film festivals in the months ahead.
Tonight, I'll be speaking on behalf of the LA Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce before the feature COLLEGE BOYS LIVE at the DGA at 9:30. Because let's face it, what 500 gay men want to see is an old, gray-haired dyke talk before viewing their porn.
I'll also be attending the fabulous new feature HANNAH FREE starring Sharon Gless and directed by Wendy Jo Carlton (pictured left with her cinematographer).
The film depicts a life long affair between two women that spans 70 years. My last relationship FELT like 70 years although it was significantly less, so I'll be curious to see if this means real years, or lesbian years.
See you at the DGA, kittens. Until then...kissing the air next to your cheeks..... MWA!
