Yes, Virginia, that was an earthquake. 4.9 in Lennox, California
At 8:39 pm an earthquake hit Los Angeles at an estimated magnitude of 4.7 (according to the gov quake site) about 1 mile east of the city of Lennox, which is near Inglewood.
That was a nice little jolt! My 16 year old nephew, had never felt one before, and it unnerved him a bit. It was nothing compared to the Whittier Earthquake in 1987.

I felt it all the way in Glendale, CA
ReplyDeleteWe had an earthquake in England last year - it made headline news... a parrot was disturbed in some town and a slate fell off a roof in another.
ReplyDeleteBig news!
